Travel information
There are frequent direct and connecting flights for Europe, Asia, North America and Australia to and from the NAIA International Airport in Manila. The airport is close to the venue and hotels, with some hotels offering airport shuttles. There is an airport terminal tax on departure.
Entry visa is not required for nationals of certain countries if period of stay is less than 21 days. A valid return ticket to the port of origin may be required upon entry. (Read more)
Keep the official copy of acceptance letter from the national organizing committee for immigration inspection or for visa application purposes. Advanced registration is advised to expedite visa processing.
Currency and power
Accepted currency is the Philippine peso which is around P50 to a dollar, or P63 to a euro. They come in denominations of P1000, P500, P200, P100, P50, P20 and coins of P10, P4, P1, and 25, 10, and 5 cents.
Electrical outlets are 220 volts and use two parallel flat connectors (Type A). Most computers are PC-compatible using Windows OS.
