Founding of EuAsC2S
Around 1985-86, Prof. Bernd M. Rode of the University of Innsbruck in Austria consulted with Prof. Hitoshi Ohtaki to organize an international conference concerning solution chemistry in Thailand as part of Prof. Rode’s research and educational activities in Thailand.
As ICSC have been scheduled until 1991, it was impossible to invite the conference to Thailand before that year. They then invited Prof. Ivano Bertini of Florence University in Italy to join them to discuss Prof. Rode’s idea and they changed the original proposal to create an international conference called Eurasia Conference on Chemistry of Solution (EuAsC2S). The logo "EuAsC2S" was designed by Dr. Sunt Techakumpuch of Chulalongkorn University. (Read more)
